It’s not only Facebook and Google that are coming to Seattle to tap into the region’s tech talent.
Knotice, an Ohio-based software company, is opening an office in Seattle and has hired a former Microsoft developer, part of a plan to hire a number of developers, business statisticians and information architects.
Knotice, which offers digital marketing software and services, is the latest tech company to open an office here. The list includes well-known companies like Facebook and Zynga. But Seattle also is attracting smaller companies, such as New Zealand-based GreenButton, which recently opened an office in Seattle.
Brian Deagan, co-founder and CEO of Knotice, said the new Seattle office will help the company better serve its West Coast clients, including BuildDirect, Trupanion and Ghirardelli.
“It’s a significant step in the growth of the company,” said Deagan. “Not only does this continue to extend our national footprint, it also allows for future expansion. With access to outstanding technology and marketing talent in the Seattle area, it eliminates any potential bottlenecks on future growth and innovation.”
Joining Knotice’s Seattle office is Ajoy Bose, a senior developer formerly with Microsoft. Bose came to Microsoft through the aQuantive acquisition in 2007.
Knotice says its software brings together email marketing, mobile marketing, web and direct display within a single platform.
