The Government Printing Office has released the 2013 proposed federal budget as a mobile app, the first time ever for iPhone, iPad, Android and other mobile devices.
When it comes to the federal budget, there's now an app for that.
Monday's release of the Obama administration's 2013 proposed budget was not only the traditional print and online formats from the Government Printing Office but also a site optimized for mobile devices.
It's the first time the federal budget has been released as an app that can run on iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and other mobile devices.
"Through GPO's role as the digital information platform for the Federal Government, we continue to explore different ways to make Government information available to the public and developing apps is just one way we are meeting that goal," said acting public printer Davita Vance-Cooks in a statement.
The mobile budget app has texts and images from the 2013 proposed budget as well as links to summary tables and other material.
